Consultations - The key to achieving success
We use the term "consultation" to describe what happens when you and our advising team come together. The goal is to come together as many times as needed to acheive your goals. Each consultation is an opportunity for us to identify what is keeping you from your goals so that we can formulate an action plan that moves you forward.
Our advising team will look at where you started and previous consultations to formulate an up-to-date plan based on variables and benchmarks either being achieved or not. The key to the consultation system is being able to see measurable progression from one consultation to the next. If you string enough educational consultations together you will see positive results in terms of overcoming those barriers that keep you from becoming a home owner. |

A "series" of consultations
The goal is to get results. One consultation will not result in you achieving your goals. It will take many consultations over time. It is important to understand that you are extremely more likely to acheive your goals by completing a "series" of consultations versus one or two consultations. Look at it as a journey, not a quick fix. To get the results you want, you will have to go through many encounters with our advising team. That change is of course represented by excellent credit, a strong sense of money management and the ability to purchase a home or vehicle with favorable terms for you and your family.

How to properly conduct consultations
Since no one consultation will by itself will help you achieve your goals, we must take care to ensure that each consultation is conducted a specific way. Each consultation is linked to the previous and the next consultation (simultaneously). This is the best way we can measure progress and make sure the process is working. Each consultation must include specific elements for this to work. We must be able to go back to the very first consultation and review where you were in order to truly see how far you've come. To do this we must conduct each consultation with the following action-steps (always).
(1) Record
(2) Organize
(3) Summarize
Consultations are completed by phone and recorded. We record each consultation so that we can post it in your backoffice. This is great for you because you can access the recordings and review what was said at your leisure. This is especially helpful for those of us that may have a poor memory. Recorded calls also provide all parties with a clear representation of what was said. This is important because the ability to review what your advisor recommended in previous consultations and how you verbally responded will help in the measurement of progression. Performance can be measured. Performance is two parts. We must perform by giving you accurate advise and guidance and you must perform by taking action. We can clearly measure who is performing through the consultations as long as they are recorded. We also record every call because it helps to eliminate the possibility of thinking your advisor said one thing, when they actually said something else.
Communications by phone are more effective than by email or text. The tone of the sender of information is not present in a email or text. The ability to give real-time feedback is impossible through an email. Emails are acceptable during a consultation only. This means that while you and your advisor are on the phone, one party may send an email to the other based upon the relevancy of the consultation happening real-time. Randomly emailing your advisor can be counter-productive because he/she may not receive your email, it could get lost in spam or worse it could get accidentally sent to the wrong email. This creates negativity and frustration. Instead, text your advisor when you desire to engage and allow your advisor the time he/she needs to schedule a phone call whereby the interaction can properly be documented.
Text messages are great for quick notifications but not for conveying details.
Consultations are organized by date and time in a sequential order. This simplifies measuring results. As each consultation is completed the advising team will "document" the event in your back office with a date and time stamp. This is especially helpful for you so that you can quickly get to the information you need. Organization is also helpful to our advising team because it helps us focus you on the important activities and actions needed for you to succeed.
Consultations are summarized by the advising team at the end of each consultation so that all parties can get a quick idea of what key points were addressed. This helps speed up the measurement of progression.

Your Advisor
Conducting a consultation requires two parties. You and an advisor. The advisor is supposed to bring knowledge, expertise, guidance and resources to each consultation. What price or value would you put on someone's time? Would that value go up if someone else was giving their time to help you? Well, that is exactly what an Advisor is doing with you when they take time to complete a consultation with you. Look at your Advisor as a detached thinking partner. Together, you and your Advisor double your processing power. Together, you have a much greater chance of being effective. Together, you can achieve your goals faster.
Your Advisor will provide the knowledge, information and guidance to navigate those obsticles that are holding you back from your goals. However, your Advisor can't make the change in your behavior, only you can do that.

(2) Be willing to take action
>>Immediately after a consultation is completed - TAKE ACTION!
>>At the end of each consultation, you'll know what actions need to be taken. Take them quickly.
>>"If it's to be, it's up to me" - Do the things you know you should do and do them quickly.
(3) Be diligent and have a strong work ethic
>>Make each consultation a priority.
>>Follow up with your Advisor after each consultation to make sure you know what is expected of you.
>>Surprise your Advisor by completing tasks in between consultations that move you closer to your goals.

Success is within your grasp
The manner in which you and our advising team work together will ultimately determine your success and/or failure in the program. Your success will not be determined by the number of consultations you have, but rather by the actions you take as a result of many successful consultations.
